Hello everyone, Vinzinger here. I want to share my thoughts and theories on Manga is outselling American Comics despites I may not be a manga guy and a comic book guy. But I did watch alot of Manga outselling American Comic Videos and read some comics as a kid such a Star Wars comic, my brother's Sonic Comics, a Legion of Superheroes comic, and a comic book based on one DC's Toy Line a Flash Comic, and a Justice League Comic. Hell, I'll even get the Berserk Manga. So let's check if I paid good attention to those videos.
Wokeness
Yeah, that's right. Wokeness is killing Comic Books. Why is it killing comics may you ask? I may not be a expert. But, let me explain;
1.The higher-ups in-charge of the comic book industry want bring in new fans into their party. Which I don't have a problem with, it's just that they're doing the wrong way by getting rid of the old fandom for the lowest common denominator(The Far-Left) that will not buy their product.
2.The Far-Left have taken over the comic book industry because the Far-Left have taken over the Left-Wing and Comic Book Companies such as DC, Marvel, you name it are left-wing dominated Companies.
3.The Comic Book Industry is bringing in writers and artists that are nothing more Far-Left Activist Fake Fans who are inexperienced, unable to take criticism well, have the willingness to inject their ideologies, agendas, and narratives into the stories.
Comic Books are Hard to get into and Manga isn’t
What do I mean by comics books are hard to get into and Manga isn't? Well you can say american comic books always get rebooted, retconned, retold, and repurposed by writers who haven't created the comic characters that everyone loves. I don't know why. As well as how a youtuber named Adam Haydel mentioned something about how comic book creators and companies would handle continuity of the stories. Which explains why the comic books adaptations aren't luring people into the comic books.
As for Manga, you can only just start with the 1st volume of certain manga. Hell, even Manga doesn't get rebooted, retcon, and repurposed. Which explains why anime adaptations manage lure people into manga.
Seriously, there’s a meme proving that point.
Overstaying Welcomes
American Comic Books overstaying their welcome is also the reason why Manga is kicking American Comic's ass. Probably because of what I am getting from the Mainstream Western Entertainment Industry and Western Entertainment Creators is that they like to overstay the welcomes of well-beloved stories. Which explains why we're getting alot of reboots, remakes, sequels, you name it and why a youtuber named Deadwood Dale something about how stories within comic books are nothing more than comic book characters going on in this purgatory.
As for Manga, there are Manga that overstayed their welcome such as One Piece. But as for the rest, not really. Probably because Mangakas have tendencies to not let their works overstay their welcome and know when it's time for their works to end.
The Rule within the Comic Book Industry
There's this rule within the Comic Book Industry(well, mostly in DC and Marvel) that you can't kill off characters and the characters must comeback to the dead. Probably because they'll lose money because the people who are emotional attached to the characters who would get upset and to be honest, I understand.
As for Manga, the Manga Industry doesn't have that. But there are Manga where the characters come back from the dead such as Dragonball, you name it.
How both Industries work
The Manga Industry is a Meritocracy just like Anime Industry. Due to the fact that the Manga Industry would award and publish whatever works well and abandon what doesn't work well.
As for the Comic Industry. Right now, the only thing that they’re doing right now is publish social and political lectures and repurposing already established stories and franchises into social and political lectures.
Those are my thoughts. What do you guys think? Are those the reasons why Manga is outselling American Comics? Did I pay good attention at those Manga outselling American Comics Videos? Let me know about it in the comments down below and tell me why do you guys think of why Manga is outselling American Comics?
